What do you use for cleaning?
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:25:39 PM »
I've been using a couple of different oils for cleaning. I mostly use On Guard mixed with water to clean our bathrooms. Then I use Lemon for counters and stainless steel. Curious what everyone else uses?

I use lemon or a lemon/orange blend. I like the citrus smell. Purify works well with strong oders.

Hi!  I have been using YL Lemon for cleaning until I made some cleaner with YL Thieves.  Wow!  I cleaned the counter tops, fridge, cabinets, walls, stove, microwave, and bathroom everything.  I sprayed it inside the shower glass doors and it took all the grime off without any heavy scrubbing.  It's my new favorite cleaner.

Let's see...lemon, sweet orange, Melaleuca (tea tree), Thieves/OnGaurd. I want to start using thyme, but I don't have any right now.

I adopted a cleaning product with petitgrain, which smelt very 'clean':

423ml Distilled water (you can use bottled water)
30ml Organic white vinegar
30ml Castile soap
15g Baking Soda
35 drops Petitgrain oil
2g Coconut oil (this is optional - does make the liquid
cloudy, but is kind on hands!)

Next on my list is grapefruit for an alternate to classic lemon,

The essential oil I used is here: http://botanist.co.uk
